Works in your area

I am writing to let you know that we are planning to carry out emergency road repairs in your local area.

Where are we working?

We will be undertaking this work with a road closure between Ash Parva and Ightfield as shown on the map below.

Details can also be found on

When will the work take place?

This work will take place on the Monday 28 February to Friday 11 March excluding weekends, and we will be working during the day between 8am and 4pm.

Please note that all our planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs and on

How will this affect traffic?

To maintain a safe environment, we need to fully close the road but notice of this will be given by way of advance warning signs and a fully signed diversion route will be in place.

During the closure we would advise all motorists to use the signed diversion route, which has been agreed with Shropshire Council as we’ve carefully chosen this with suitability and safety in mind. We would also encourage all drivers to adhere to speed limits and follow appropriate signage to ensure the safety of those working on site and fellow road users. If you are travelling during this time, please make sure you plan in advance and allow extra time for your journeys.

Please note that all our planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We’ll maintain access to businesses and residential properties within the closure at all times.

Full details of work to be carried out in the area can be found on

Will there be access within the closure?

Yes, if you are looking to access a property or business within the closure, we will provide access for you. If the property or business falls outside the road closure a signed diversion route will be in place that can be followed.

We will have staff on site who are able to assist with access within the closure. Our priority is to keep you and our staff safe, this means that there may be a bit of a wait while we make the site safe for you to travel to your property.

During the closure access to the works area will be restricted to:

Essential highway personnel
Local residents who live and reside within the road closure
Businesses located within the closure (if applicable)
Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians
Emergency service vehicles

Closure and diversion route

How can you help us?

It would be appreciated if you could ensure vehicles are not parked on the road during the day whilst the work is in progress. Please be mindful that we can only provide access for properties/businesses within the closure. Should this cause any problems or concerns then please do not hesitate to call the number below or alternatively speak to our team on site to allow arrangements to be put in place.

Kind regards,
